The Theory Test
The multi-choice part of the theory test requires you to answer 50 questions which come from an official DSA question bank of over 1000 questions.

You will have fifty minutes to answer the questions and you will need to score 43 or more in order to pass.

The hazard perception part of the theory test assess your ability to see and understand emerging road traffic hazards - from a car pulling out to a pedestrian crossing the road.

You will see fourteen video clips, in thirteen of the clips one hazard will emerge, in the other two haxards will emerge. The early you see the hazard the more points you score.

There are 75 possible points on offer and you will need to score at least 44 in order to pass.

The theory test costs £31.00. You have to pass both parts otherwise you will fail and will have to resit each part again.
